HOME DESIGN WITH THERMAL PANELS

One of the main tasks is properly selecting the color palette of thermal panels with clinker tiles. For this, it’s enough to seek qualified help from an exterior designer.

By ordering 3D facade design from Royal Facade, each customer gets the opportunity to familiarize themselves with a three-dimensional detailed picture of their own home after work aimed at facade insulation.

Moreover, when creating such a picture, the designer takes real tile photographs as a basis. We photograph each individual item live using professional cameras. The obtained photographs undergo special preparation for further free use in computer design.

Properly executed thermal wall cladding using clinker thermal panels guarantees reliable protection of the entire home from negative impacts of various external factors. Additionally, you’ll achieve an aesthetically attractive building appearance. Therefore, homeowners and other building owners use a comprehensive approach to facade design: creating maximum comfort and unique brick facade design, often called the “face” of any building.

However, remember that the insulation process, facade insulation using clinker panels is quite responsible and requires special attention and approach. Such investments quickly pay off and are considered profitable investments. Compared to facade insulation with polystyrene for painting, panel service life is 50+ years.

What can you get
by ordering professional facade design visualization?

Specialist assistance in selecting the appropriate shade.

Royal Facade company uses tiles from Ukrainian and Polish brands in production, which differ in wide variety of textures and shades. For this reason, many homeowners get lost in such diversity and cannot decide on one option from hundreds offered.

Before visualization services appeared, situations occurred when customers were disappointed with obtained results because their expectations didn’t match the real picture.

Thermal panel format: determination

Thanks to thermal panel decorative layers, various ideas can be realized when designing insulated wall facade.

Some customers, contacting our company, don’t understand exactly what they want to see on their facade.

In each panel production process, it’s necessary to know and understand the tile arrangement principle precisely. This is especially important when simultaneously using tiles of different shades in one thermal panel.

Having a complete picture of the entire home and assistance during installation

Facade visualization is a wonderful opportunity to see the building’s complete picture, select perfect color combinations, and various textures. As a result, customers can understand in advance what the front facade design will look like before starting installation work.

Additionally, having a picture facilitates further installation for the work crew, who immediately understand how to distribute all work processes to achieve the desired result.

03. Speed up and simplify future installation processes.

04. Decide on optimal thermal panel format.

Order Measurement and Calculation

Home design is influenced by modern trends that regularly change in construction and architecture. Another important nuance is the region where the customer lives. Based on weather conditions in this region, customers choose certain shades of decorative layer (tiles).

Let’s examine main facade design ideas (examples) in different states:

  • Florida. Here’s sunny climate and lots of Mediterranean-style architecture. For this reason, state residents choose light, sandy, and beige shades for facade cladding.
  • California. Modern architecture in this state fully corresponds to minimalism “laws.” Therefore, for external thermal wall cladding, they choose gray, anthracite, graphite, and other heterogeneous shades in similar style.
  • Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia. To emphasize traditional home style in these states, it’s recommended to prefer red, brown shades, or other solid shades for classic facade design.
  • Oregon, Washington and other states located in northwestern regions. Here humid climate and lush natural landscape prevail. For this reason, residents prefer light beige shades or calmer gray color ranges.

However, all listed features cannot be called strict rules or norms. Each US resident has the right to independently choose the most appropriate shade for future house facade design. But such observations often reflect real preferences of customers who seek help from our company.

FAQ

Answers to the most common questions from customers interested in cladding material quality and simultaneous insulation facade, as well as work principles and further cooperation with Royal Facade team

Clinker thermal panels: what are they?

Clinker thermal panels are multi-component structures used for simultaneous insulation and decoration of various building facades.

These panels guarantee realistic brick laying imitation of certain shades. As insulation layer, one of three possible options is most often used: polyurethane foam, expanded polystyrene foam, or extruded polystyrene. Each of these types differs in production technology, which determines their future properties and characteristics.

For example, with polystyrene thermal panels, one-component polyurethane adhesive is additionally used: a process occurs where foam is pressed into pre-selected clinker tiles. Thanks to adhesive polymerization (deep substance penetration into all construction element structure), a single and high-strength structure is created (clinker + insulation).

As a result, a 3-in-1 structure is created – an excellent solution for complete replacement of separate insulation (brick).

Is tile reliably attached to the construction surface?

In our thermal panel production process, we follow European technology, the multiple pressing method. This technology has been successfully used for over 50 years. As a basis in the production process, our specialists take exclusively certified raw materials from Europe (see our material testing videos). Additionally, at each production stage, we conduct quality control, allowing us to ensure reliable fixation of all construction components.

We work with clinker tiles that have no exact service life. This is related to tile origin – natural material. Clay is used as the basis, which was fired and pressed under high temperature conditions (+2000 degrees). Quality clay can maintain its properties for thousands of years.

Regarding adhesive, we work with polyurethane adhesive from a proven manufacturer who guarantees property preservation for 35+ years.

Thus, the service life of finished clinker thermal panels is 50+ years.

What type and thickness of insulation to choose for thermal panels?

Our specialists will help understand this question, ready to perform precise calculations for selecting ideal insulation layer thickness. Energy efficiency legislation requirements will be used as a basis. A special formula is applied for this.

Insulation thickness and type are influenced by climatic zone, material and thickness of specific building external walls. We help customers determine the “dew point” to protect walls from negative external factor impacts. Our specialist team conducts quick thermal engineering calculations for each insulation type, referring to building features and individual customer preferences.

Can polystyrene in thermal protection panel construction be called environmentally safe?

Our products undergo thorough checks and official testing to confirm compliance with specified parameters – strength, safety. Additionally, it’s important for us to confirm finished product compliance with all standards required for modern cladding materials to create energy-efficient, environmentally safe buildings.

Polystyrene composition lacks harmful and dangerous substances like chlorine and hydrochloride. As a result, it’s called safe for the environment under normal operating conditions and elevated temperature conditions. This popular thermal insulation material is 98% air, but it can retain heat well.

Can you insulate a house in winter?

Thermal panel installation can be performed at sub-zero temperatures down to -14 degrees. An important advantage of Royal Facade brand products is all-season installation capability – in winter during cold months and in summer during heat. This is because we use unique facade insulation technology – the “dry” method.

However, installation work is not recommended during various atmospheric precipitation – snow, rain. Joint grouting should be done in dry weather at temperatures from +5 degrees. Thus, thermal panel installation can be done in winter, and joint grouting in spring. Additionally, winter panel installation features more affordable prices.

As a result, there’s no need to postpone facade cladding “for later.” By performing external wall insulation at the beginning of winter, homeowners can save on heating, evaluating thermal panel high energy efficiency. After spring joint grouting, you can save on summer air conditioning and guarantee comfortable conditions for all family members.

How much time is needed for thermal panel cladding of a 200 m² house?

Cladding timeframes for any building depend on the following list of important factors – specific building construction type, installation team professionalism and experience. For example, if installation is performed by an inexperienced team, then time must be allocated for their training and familiarization with main work nuances. Therefore, to save your own time, it’s best to use qualified specialists’ help. If “turnkey” work is planned, an experienced specialist team (2-3 specialists) needs 1 month.

Choosing our thermal panels, customers can use the unique “chief installation” service. As a result of this service, our specialist visits the site and works paired with builders throughout the day.

200 m² house cladding timeframes also depend on facade complexity: presence of many corners, bay windows, window and door openings, various protrusions. All this can increase work time. An equally important factor is the need for additional complex surface preparation. Therefore, each case is individual, and when conducting precise calculations, all nuances should be considered.
